1st time in premium economy from LAX to CDG, at a cost about double the normal economy fare and half of the business class fare. Fare was definitely a major consideration in choosing premium economy over business. The seat comfort is really quite terrible, seats are quite thin and on 777, space between rows is not generous. Seating on the 380 was equally uncomfortable, but at least there was more space between rows.

CDG - TNR round trip Economy class. Boarding at CDG was efficient and smooth. Flight completely full so baggage bin space tight. Queues for toilets very long at times. Main complaint was seat comfort - AF pack 10 rows across 777 body, so seats very narrow. This was a 10 hour flight (daytime on outward) so very uncomfortable. Food/drink was average at best. IFE was ok, with screen angle better than on some other aircraft so was actually watchable even when seat in front was reclined. On return leg security procedures at TNR were weird (not the fault of AF). After going through the usual scanner process in the departure lounge we walked out to the aircraft only to have our bags searched and a body pat-down out on the tarmac! Fortunately it was not raining! Overall I would avoid travelling AF on the Indian Ocean routes in Economy (Voyager).

CDG-MIA voyageur class. Was impressed to be honest. B777 was full both ways but the crew managed to keep a sense of humour and the flights were pleasant. As mentioned, space is at a premium and seats are hard but the fare I paid was very competitive. I had ordered an a la carte 'ocean' meal which was served before the main cabin. It featured metal cutlery and upgraded wine selection. Flights were 30 min delayed both ways and neither MIA or CDG will win airport of the year in my lifetime!

Two flights both Business Class, Singapore-Paris (A380) 31/8, Paris-Hong Kong (B777) 3/10. Service excellent on both legs, food, especially from Singapore, as good as it gets flying, well chosen wines freely poured. The new seats quite comfortable allowing reasonable sleep time. Arrival lounge at CDG a welcome bonus. Having read so many adverse reports about Air France was very pleasantly surprised.

Premium Economy from LAX to CDG and on to Venice on Sep 15. Return from Rome through CDG to LAX in October. Transatlantic portion in new airbus 380-800. Portion in Europe on airbus 319 and 320. Seat room and leg room in 380-800 more then adequate. Food service was more than adequate with snacks later in the flight. Landing at CDG at new portion of 2E required a very long walk to connecting terminal D. Allow at least 2 hours to make connections at CDG. European flights were cramped, many passengers had excessive carryon baggage. On return to LAX, the flight attendant refused second glass of champagne stating that the plane only provided 4 bottles for premium economy. Later another flight attendant brought us back champagne from business class. Overall a good flight and good service. Would fly AF again.

ORD to CDG on Oct 1. My wife was injured during flight boarding at ORD in Chicago when someone pushed her into the metal end of the seat/armrest, suffering a sprain of the knee. Upon arrival in Paris, she could not stand on the leg. AirFrance was very helpful with wheelchair service to the medical centre at CDG. From there, she was transferred to hospital for X-rays, etc. With our planned vacation ruined by my wife's limited mobility, we decided to return to the US where she could see her doctor. I went back to CDG that same evening (so that I would have an Air France ticket agent who spoke English) to arrange our tickets for a return flight. I was told that the ticket was sold by Delta (Air France's agent in the US) and that there was nothing that they could do about changing the ticket for an earlier return to the US. Beware - Air France will act as though their US agent is some strange third party that they have no control over. At that time, Air France had a record in their computer of my wife's injury but insisted that the could make no accommodations in changing the return date. I even talked to an Air France "manager". Their only offer was to issue two new one-way tickets to ORD at 5700 Euros each (about $15000 US for the pair). I gave up, went back to the hotel, got on the internet and found two round trip tickets for the next morning on United for $1000 each. We will never consider flying on Air France again.

Flew from Boston to Paris in September 2012. Paid for voyager class. Seats were hard and not comfortable flight attendants insisted we use coach restrooms at the rear of the plane which was very inconvenient, especially since we were in the first row and the restroom was on the other side of the curtain. On the way back to Atlanta we took off 1 hr late, so we had under 1 hr to go through customs and make our connections. We were not allowed off the plane until all first class exited even though they were told of our situation and sure there were many in coach in the same position. AF did not care. Would not fly them again, not worth double the price for voyager and you really don't get any special treatment.

This was a domestic, subsidiary flight, Nice-Toulouse on 18 September 2012 so probably, one should not have too many expectations. Luckily, I didn't. This is a very basic city-to-city commuter service for those getting from point A to point B with no frills whatever. The Nice departure was not simple as the departure gate required a shuttle bus to the actual tarmac departure point. I also felt the signage was rather poor which adds potentially to confusion.

Paris-Warsaw, full A320, flight on time. Very nice and cheerful cabin crew, one spoke Polish (sort of), which was met with enthusiasm by Polish passengers. However, they shortly run out from sandwich choices, and then wines and beers (answer was "we're sorry, but we don't have winery here!). Few rows could have only water or hot drinks, which is disappointing for such an airline. Landed 15 mins ahead of schedule, bags delivered within 20 mins.

BOS-CDG-NCE. Check-in in Boston a joke, since the desks opened with a half-an-hour delay, although check-in went smoothly. Fast lane at security, and lounge at BOS. Air France has seemingly decided to cut costs at BOS - the new lounge is a "maxi lounge" with TACV, SATA, Alitalia and Porter Airlines sharing the same space at BOS. Drinks plenty and some nibbles, however good choice of French press. Flight was a B747 with seats wearing out. Pre-flight drink and amenities packet served with a newspaper choice. Meals were stylish and of quality, but weak for a business class flight. IFE a joke. Old screen offered six channels, each channel showing a different movie. You could not choose the movie, and you had to guess when the movie started to try and catch it in its entirety. Did not sleep during the flight (as seat did not fully recline). Breakfast with yoghurt and fruit and croissant, but good choice of tea and coffee. Arrival at CDG chaotic. Rolled on for a full half-an-hour before disembarking on some lost parking slot at CDG, far from Terminal 2E. Passport control a mess, since half of the passengers had to get a connecting flight, including myself (although I had a five hour layover which made me feel less stressed about the whole thing). As I exited the terminal (with the knowledge that my luggage was to transfer to NCE without the need to recheck it at CDG), I had to walk a full twenty minutes to reach 2F1 and catch my connecting flight to Nice, going through a seemingly endless corridor. The wait did feel excessively long, as my flight did not have C-Class and no lounge. Boarding began late, finished even later, and crew duly told us no papers would be distributed today. As Air France Schengen-area flights are an all-coach mode, only meal available was coffee or tea with a drink and some biscuits. All in all, AF is getting worse.

Business class flight from Frankfurt via Paris to Buenos Aires. No dedicated check-in in FRA, no White wine on board, but nicely chilled Rosé wine, which complemented the frozen bread very well. Got an outfield position, and then the bus driver had no idea where to take us. After driving around for a while, he stopped the bus but provided no information, eventually we were released at terminal G, where we were "greeted" by an airport employee who screamed at a passenger. No information where connecting flights were leaving (FRA boarding card did not have this information), so took wrong door and had to catch bus for a 30 min ride across airport to E. eventually made it. Crew nice, dedicated boarding, swift service, good food. Seats impossible in stretched out position, I put my bag under my feet, then it was ok. Amenities kit a joke. No water runs during the 14 h flight, but bar available.

BHX - CDG - DXB return with young baby. Had already contacted Air France a few weeks prior to arrange for a SkyCot to be made available for our 1 year old. The short hop to CDG on A319 was functional with drink and snack and ok leg room for me as a 6ft 3in person. Transfer in CDG was tight due to the long bus journey that was required to go to the correct terminal. Crew on board 777-200 to DXB were great and a credit to Air France. They all came to say hello to our daughter and ensure we had everything we needed. The SkyCot however isn't very well designed. Once in place it makes it impossible to access your PTV from your seat and you are unable to move from your seat. We ended up removing it to give us more room. My wife's TV wasn't working so Air France offered a 50 euro voucher to be used against future flights or duty free. Arriving into DXB, we were advised that our daughters pushchair had been left in Paris, which left us without it for nearly 2 days. The return flight from DXB was a third full and passengers were actively encouraged to move to other seats if so required. Check in staff blocked out the 4 middle seats meaning we had plenty of room. The flight however was absolutely freezing with pretty much all passengers requesting additional blankets. Enjoyed the Air France experience due to their crew and will definitely consider using them for similar flights in the future.

We flew business class on AF 2268 from Paris to Manchester as the last leg of our trip to the USA on Sep 29th. I understand that we cannot compare the plane and level of service for this short journey with the Delta 9 hour flight, but I was very disappointed with the whole AF flight. The seats were OK but didn't have a foot rest which I would have expected in Business class. The food was disgusting. I was given half a cup of coffee, which was cold by the time I had added the cold milk to try and improve the taste. When I commented about the poor meal to the stewardess, she just laughed. This sums up the quality of both the staff and the food on AF. I would certainly not recommend them.

BOS-CDG in Premier Economy. Seats were among the worst I have ever slept in, perhaps even worse than regular economy. Neither of us could get comfortable in what were hard, lumpy seats. Service was slow and the food as expected for an economy section.
