I booked a ticket on Aerosvit from Athens-New York 3 months ago. There was a layover in Kiev. Three weeks
before my flight, they sent a change in my itinerary. The new itinerary had me arriving in Kiev 5 hrs after my
connecting flight was to leave! Clearly impossible for me to fulfil, they were unable to do anything about it. Finally,
after many hours on hold and of speaking to people who were not interested in helping, they agreed to refund the
money leaving me to buy a new ticket 3 weeks before the flight in July.

My experience of this airline flying to Kiev was very good, especially considering the cost. I
had sufficient legroom, after asking for an aisle seat. The food was good and there were plenty
of free non alcoholic drinks. The crew were very polite and helpful.

Donetsk - Sofia via Kiev. Learned in Kiev that the connecting flight was cancelled. No
information and assistance whatsoever. Was variously told that I just have to wait five more
minutes for the right Aerosvit rep, or that I have to go the city office to rebook. Fortunately
my travel agency then rebooked me on a different airline, and I arrived one day later than
planned. Return flight not much better. One flight got cancelled, the other was four hours
delayed. Service, cleanliness of the plane and food as usual was miserable, but at least my
suitcase arrived.

Took it because it was the only non-stop between New York and Kiev - never again! Old plane,
with ashtrays in armrests. Seats recline poorly, footrest does not stay up. Window shade does
not work, light above the seat does not work. Inedible food. All of this in business class,
can't imagine what they do in coach.

Copenhagen - Kiev. Flight delayed 4 hours. No reason for delay given. Flight was old, but seat
okay. Wrote to customer service and complained about the delay. No response yet (over 2 months
ago). Terrible service and will not recommend this airline.

Bangkok - Krakow via Kiev return. It was nice flight, but nothing more. Old planes, enough
space for legs, good food and no problems with luggage. The crew should be more kind and smile.

LGW-KBP-LGW: delayed both ways without explanation, waited ages to board at LGW. Returning from
KBP, driven to aircraft steps only for main door to be closed for some time. Plane was
exceptionally cramped, washrooms poorly equipped. Crew smartly dressed and friendly; reasonably
good complimentary 3-course meals with wine.

Being based in Kiev I try to avoid Aerosvit where possible, but on domestic routes where they
make monopoly, you have to sometimes deal with them. They're bad. Flight out (KBP-SIP) was 2
hours late with no explanation. Flight back was on time. Planes old, seat pitch horrible,
crews ok, but not overly friendly. 1 star.

Prague-Kiev-Bangkok. My flight to Bangkok was delayed by 13 hours! “Technical problems”
explanation was being repeated by the incompetent Russian-only-speaking staff at the Borispol
airport. After several hours of starving (impossible to buy food at this place) in the cold
and crowded terminal passengers had to invade business class lounge to attract attention of
the Aerosvit representatives. After 15 hours spent at Borispol the desperately awaited flight
was not so bad despite unfriendly staff, bad food and fossil aircraft. Will never fly Aerosvit
again.

Flight was delayed for more than 7 hours! No information, no announcements, no contact or help
from the stuff. Had to wait till 4am in the morning at Borispol airport. Two flights combined,
instead of flying directly to Sofia had to fly via Budapest. In the end arrived in Sofia the
following day at 8am (instead of 24.00 the previous day) and without rest, sleep or food had
to go to work straight from the plane! Will never fly with this company again!

During a 5hr delay at Borispol we were had to wait without any information, food or water.
Visa card not accepted at the airport restaurants. Aerosvit cannot handle problems. If
problems occur, you are the one that will take the hit. And if you want to contact Aerosvit to
complain - forget it. They do not want to be contacted!

Copenhagen to Tel-Aviv by way of Kiev. Flights on time, staff was friendly, food was actually
good and seats comfortable.

Normally I avoid Aerosvit, but this time it was the only option to go late evening from Moscow
to Kiev. Their schedule is the best thing about them. Check in done online. At the airport
boarding with no chaos. Onboard I was surprised with the new shortened seat pitch and seat
width, plane was very old. The dinner consisted of tea or soft drinks, sandwich and nothing
else. For short flight these all would be bearable, but not for the price paid. Crews were
nice though.

JFK-Moscow via Kyiv in Business. Flight was delayed 8 hours, no warning, nothing. What I
learned while sitting there all this time is that there is only one plane flying back and
forth and there was an over 24 hour delay a few weeks back from which it was still recovering.
Finally we got on the plane and it was old. I don't think I've seen seats like that in
business class anywhere else. I missed my connection in Kiev of course, so they had to find
me another flight - another 5 hour delay. When I finally got to Moscow I realized my luggage
didn't make it. Took another 4 days to get it and I had to go back to the airport to pick it
up. I bought a return ticket on a different airline on the way home. Enough is enough.

Kyiv to NY on January 16. Called their official reps in Kyiv a day prior to my fligt to
confirm the time of the flight - rep confirmed the time of my flight. I travelled 4 hours to
the airport for 1pm flight the next day - when I got to the airport, the information said it
got delayed till 9.30 pm - was flying business class, they did not even bother to call me and
warn me. I mention that I flew business class - for you to realize that not only economy
class, they do not bother warning about the delay the business class customers. The staff were
rude, did not bother explaining the reason of the delay (it was not due to weather
conditions). It was terrible, we got stuck in the uncomfortable airport for 10 hours. The only
satisfaction of trip - the crew was extra nice due to the delay.

KBP-JFK on old 767-300. The flight was delayed by 4.5 hours, the last two hours before
boarding were spent in a Soviet style boarding area with no bathroom or drinking water.
Numerous complaints from passengers went unanswered and no apologies were given. Aerosvit
treats its passengers like cattle, delays are inherent, inflight service indifferent, IFE is
on the 70's level.

Atrocious customer service, poor food, disgusting bathrooms. Had four flights with Aerosvit
and only met one nice flight attendant. Had a 25 hour delay in Kiev, and terrible at helping out.

Cheap airline, plane with basic configuration for transatlantic flight. Crew friendly but most
do not understand basic conversation in English. Inflight service really poor. Cabin was not
maintained clean in 9 hours of flight, after 3 hours bathroom is unusable for a normal person

JFK-Kiev-Odessa RETURN. Prices were great, food fine, nothing fancy but edible, great cookies
for dessert. JFK-Kiev was a newer 767 and flight was nice - much smaller plane between Kiev
and Odessa and I think had better seats than the larger plane. But take a book, ipod or
something to do because the video system was not working so for almost a 10 hour flight they
provided no entertainment. Staff courteous, spoke English, Russian and Ukrainian. Baggage
was on time and quick to retrieve in all locations. Was able to get a $652 round trip JFK to
Kiev and only $145 Round Trip Kiev to Odessa!

Tel Aviv to Toronto through Kiev. There was a lot of leg room on flight from Kiev to Toronto
in Economy class. You can order Kosher meals (crepes for breakfast and same chicken meal for
lunch and dinner) or else you will wind up with quiche like meal, if you like that kind of
food.
