Transit Counters

If you HAVE a boarding pass of your Connecting Flight

Check your connecting flight number at the flight information screens for the departure gate and time. Please proceed to the gate at least 30 minutes before departure time.

If you do NOT HAVE a boarding pass of your Connecting Flight

Proceed to the terminal where your connecting flight will depart. Check-in at any transfer lounges in the terminal except for the airlines below. You do not need to collect your baggage as they would be automatically checked into your connecting flight.

If your connecting flight is on a Budget Airline

All passengers traveling on a budget airline flight must have valid travel documents (passport, visa etc). On arrival, clear Arrival Immigration, collect your baggage (if any), clear Customs and proceed to the departures level of the terminal the airline is operating from. For passengers who need to transfer to the Budget Terminal, proceed to Terminal 2 basement level to take the free shuttle bus service.

Connecting Times

If onward Boarding Pass is required, passengers must report to transfer counters for their new boarding passes at least 45 minutes before their onward flight, as passengers will not be accepted after that time. Please note boarding gates for flights departing Changi Airport close 10 minutes before departure time.

Getting Around

All the 3 terminals at Singapore Changi Airport are inter-linked by Skytrains. The Skytrains operate both at the transit and public areas. The Skytrain operating hours are from 0500 to 0230 hrs daily.

The service is free and it takes approximately 1-4 minutes to travel between terminals.

The average waiting time for the skytrain is between 1 to 3 minutes. In the event when the Skytrain is not in operation in the transit area, you are advised to use the travellators that links the respective terminals inside the Departure / Transit area.

In the public area, you may take the free shuttle bus that links Terminals 1, 2 and 3.

Internet / WiFi options

Changi Airport offers seamless Internet access for passengers carrying laptops and personal digital assistants (PDAs) via wireless local area network (LAN) cards, ethernet cables and infrared ports. For those without laptops or PDAs, they can enjoy surfing at more than 300 free internet terminals located throughout Terminals 1 and 2.

Rest / Relaxation areas

Tired after all that time spent cramped in the plane seat? Make your way down to the Rest Areas for hours of relaxation on the specially designed snooze chairs! These comfortable leather chairs come with head and leg rests, giving you the ultimate relaxation. The Rest Areas are located at:

Swimming Pool

Enjoy the relaxing ambience of the Balinese-themed swimming pool and poolside area operated by Harilela Hospitality Pte Ltd. Passengers staying at the Ambassador Transit Hotel may use the pool and Jacuzzi for free. Otherwise, a small fee of S$13.65 is charged to non-residents for the use of the swimming pool and Jacuzzi, including the use of the shower facilities, a towel and a complimentary non-alcoholic drink from the bar.

Changi Airport Shopping City is where the world shops. Passengers can indulge in one of Singapore's greatest passions - shopping - without leaving the airport. There are more than 160 shops in both Terminals 1 and 2 selling items ranging from the traditional duty-free goods such as liquor and tobacco, cosmetics and fashionwear, to electronics and jewellery. The shops are carefully designed in an open free-flow concept, creating an informal and relaxed environment for passengers to browse and shop in. To further give a sense of place, we have also introduced several Asian ethnic specialty stores at Changi Airport and brought in many established Singaporean brands providing these homegrown brands an international showcase for their merchandise and giving passengers a glimpse of the Singapore retailing scene within the airport.

Limousine Taxi

The service uses premium taxis and brings you to any destination at a flat rate. Please approach the Limousine Taxi Counter on the arrivals level.

Airport Shuttle / Bus

The shuttle goes to city and any hotels in Singapore (excluding Changi Village hotel and hotels on Sentosa Island). Please approach the Airport Shuttle Counter on the arrivals level to register.

Public bus service 36 goes to the city. The first bus arrives at around 0600hr and the last leaves at midnight. A single fare costs below S$2.00 and takes about an hour. Bus stops are located under Terminals 1, 2 or 3. Prepare the exact fare as no change will be given.

Train

The Changi Airport MRT Station is located under Terminals 2 and 3 and linked to the arrivals and departures by escalators and lifts. The first train arrives at around 0530hr and the last leaves at midnight. A single fare to the city costs about S$2.70 (inclusive of S$1.00 refundable deposit) and takes approximately 27 minutes. FREE SINGAPORE TOUR

Passengers who have at least five hours to spare before their connecting flight can register for a free 2 ½-hour sightseeing tour to catch a glimpse of the vibrant garden city of Singapore. Passengers who choose to take the Scenic River Tour are treated to the sights and sounds of the city and can enjoy a nostalgic bumboat ride on the Singapore River, which was once a hive of activity and the life of Singapore's trading past. There is also the Sentosa Tour which takes passengers to the fun filled island of Sentosa, located just 5 minutes away from the main island.

For service, go to either of the Singapore Visitors Centre located in the Terminal 1 and 2 transit halls.
