Very convenient to reach from anywhere. I would call it a "no frills" airport. If this airport is to compete as an
"International airport", it has to invest money in renovation and updating of the building! In general: I am
thankful for the close proximity of this airport.

Very nice alternative to using Toronto. Limited flight destinations, but check in for domestic and intl flights is
simple. Security clearance on departure and arrival is a breeze. Parking is a short walk. Not much by way of
services in the terminal but you also do not need to arrive 3hrs prior to a flight. There are no gates, so be
prepared to walk to your plane via the tarmac.

A very small but easy to use airport. There are no aerobridges, and walking out to the parking lot in
winter can be unpleasant, but I much prefer using this airport to Toronto because you can get in and
out very quickly, and the staff are friendly. Overall it is a pleasant airport to use. They have two
Tim Horton's - one in the departure area, and there are free newspapers in the departure area.
For anyone living in Niagara/Hamilton/western GTA, using this airport can really cut down on your
travel time and the stress of travelling.

I travel to this airport occasionally on business and leisure to Atlantic Canada (excluding
Newfoundland). This is an airport where checking in is quick and that getting bags (when arriving)
does not take too long. It is small, so not a lot of walking is required, and it is quick to get
out of. One complaint about this airport is that it is located quite north of Halifax, and as a
result, cab fare to Halifax is pricey ($50 flat fare to downtown Halifax last time I was there).
However, an airporter bus goes into Halifax frequently and is quite reasonably priced (about $15
each way). The good thing about the airport is that its closer if you're visiting PEI, NB and Cape
Breton, and there is no traffic on Hwy 102. Shopping/eateries available for the size of the airport
is adequate (not extensive, but enough). In general, it is the best gateway airport to Atlantic
Canada, due to the number of flights available (compared to others in the region), and is located in
a central location of the Maritimes.

Hamilton is unsuitable for dealing with multiple transatlantic services. $ planes departing at same
time causing line up through the airport with 900 people queuing and 2 desks open.

Used Hamilton Airport as an alternative airport to Toronto. A much smaller airport than Pearson (a
good thing), resulting in much less walking (and waiting) and much easier to get in and out of. A
great option if you're visiting Southern Ontario (or Niagara Falls) if you want to avoid the Toronto
traffic, and is 80 km from downtown Toronto. Not the greatest airport for public transit links to
Hamilton and Toronto and beyond likely due to the airports small size. Airport was slightly built on
the cheap, has exterior siding and drop celling interiors, reminding me of a bus terminal, and has
very limited food/shopping options. Despite these minor complaints, overall, a good alternative to
Pearson for direct flights, and would use it again.
