	Rating : 10/10 Queuing Cleanliness Facilities Recommended	Late flight out on New Year's day. I love this small airport, it's quick to get though and friendly. A surprisingly well stocked duty free shop with a good choice. A small cafe before boarding. I imagine it's how airports were 40 years ago, and is a pleasure to travel through.

	Rating : 10/10 Queuing Cleanliness Facilities Recommended	The international terminal is small and because of that there are no endless walks which is great. The visa on arrival staff were very quick and it only took a few minutes to be processed then it was the same going through immigration. Our bags were waiting for us in the baggage hall after immigration then it was over to the taxi desk and straight into cab and on to our hotel. On departing once again immigration was very quick then we had a short wait in the departure lounge which was very nice with a few shops and a good cafe.

Arrived from Bangkok on Thai flight and still bussed to the terminal in June 2009. Queues for visa on arrival handled relatively quickly, and luggage handling dealt with promptly and efficiently. Friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere.

The international terminal is quite pleasant, clean and modern. I expected the aircraft to park on the tarmac and have to walk or take a bus to a small terminal. So I was surprised when the door opened onto an jetbridge. The jetbridge leads to a kind of large outdoor veranda area, from which you step into the immigration/customs area. Overall a pleasure to use.

Sometimes the mere experience of an airport is enough to give you a picture of the city. Vientiane airport as a comfy and and personal airport is small and there is this certain sense of security. Represents the country more than a basic international airport.

The international terminal offers the rare, but refreshing, opportunity of a walk in fresh air before entering the immigration area. Efficient and adequate in size, I find the airport one of the more pleasant arrival and departure experiences in Asia. Get your visa before arriving if you can!!

Vientiane airport has a small domestic terminal beside the new international terminal. The terminal facilities are old but adequate in the view of the limited number of flights handle everyday. Food and drinks are available in the terminal. The arrival all is quite small and get very crowded because of the very short conveyor bell in the luggage area. Taxi to the city are available but very expensive: 6 US$ for the 10 minutes ride.
