We had a real problem when we turned up at baggage check-in. We had made a mistake on our Ryanair
booking and needed to rebook. The airport staff could not have been more helpful. We were prepared to pay
whatever it cost to get back to UK, but 2 of the staff insisted that we try booking online first as the price was
exorbitant and even directed us to a place over the road where we could have Internet access and printing
facilities for the boarding card. This did not work because the Ryanair site was once again having problems.
Back at the ticket office, we bought our ridiculously expensive tickets for the following day, and the lady
behind the counter directed us to a B&B nearby. She really couldn't have been more pleasant or more
helpful. A poor experience of Ryanair, but an excellent impression of Treviso airport staff.

Flew from here in August after a weekend in Venice. This is without doubt the worst airport I have been to.
On arrival we went to the restaurant for something to eat. After selecting what we wanted we were told we
had to pay at the book store next door, even though there was a till behind the restaurant counter. Once we
got the food it was completely cold (pizza). Basically very poorly run and no one seemed to know what was
going on. Secondly the screens listed the gate number as soon as the flight appeared, well before boarding.
So as we waited for the screen to say boarding before going to the gate we were the last in line. And finally
we handed our boarding pass to the attendant and were about to cross the tarmac to the plane when a
security officer decided to do a stop and search on our bags, at this point everyone was already on board.
Why do a random stop and search on the last people in line as we are about to board? Luckily by complying
quickly we managed to have our bags searched and not make the plane late. I have no problem at all with
them wanting to do a random search, if it makes flying safer I am all for it. But they should be doing it at the
x-ray/security check-in stage. Not as you are climbing onto the plane. Again poorly managed. They managed
to completely stress us out just before take off, as my partner doesn't enjoy flying this really did exacerbate
the problem. This airport needs new management and a whole heap of staff training to bring it up to an
acceptable standard.

Our recent return airport journey put a real dampener on what was a great weekend in Treviso. Rude and
extremely nasty check-in lady, tried to do whatever she could to make things difficult and to catch us out
over weight even though we had paid extra in advance. The women working in the Cafe were unbelievable,
one so unpleasant she really should not be working with the public. I would never travel though this airport
again.

First time using TSF after closure for runway stretching. No improvements in the internal building. Most of the
building is adequate for the flow of traffic. Space in the two boarding gates area and the sides of the building
are inadequate, especially the one for non-schengen flights. If someone is not interested in boarding first it
is better to wait up to last minute before passing passport check, because the experience after this step is
frustrating. Toilet are upstairs and only a small vending machine at gate level. The space available for the
four gates is ridiculous. This time it was very foggy and we were called to the boarding gate. We rushed in
and after passport control it was announced that we were going to be moved by bus to another airport. Being
trapped in such a small area for almost one hour was not funny. In general the airport is new and clean and
the building is nice looking. It has everything you may expect from a small regional airport. Some internet
public posts could do well as public wi-fi is pricey and not always working well.

Complaints dating back for years have not been addressed. There is no shuttle bus to and from Treviso, just
a regular bus line with no space for baggage. Departure queues are still long and chaotic, 2 persons doing the
check but three queues. Two toilets in the departure area leading to long queues there as well. Our Ryanair
flight was cancelled due to fog and then you're on your own. No information from ground personnel on how to
proceed. Ryanair does email you a link with instructions on how to rebook your flight but surprise, the Wifi at
Treviso airport is not operational! Facilities were recently installed to make flights possible in spite of fog but
these do not work. The airport does not fulfil the requirements of an international airport.

Flew from here on 1st January - what a mess. There was a huge queue for outgoing passengers to have their
documents checked and bags put into measuring frames. Then you filter through to line up for security
before finally descending to departure gates from hell - cramped with competing passenger queues
intermingling due to lack of space. The initial queue was so bad that they resorted to calling out particular
flights which were almost due to close and getting those people through. Two baggage drops were open
which were very slow, so if you had bags you had to queue there first before joining the documents queue.
Truly dreadful experience and one which we will not repeat. Avoid this airport at all costs.

Arrived here for a flight to Dublin with Ryanair. They had only 2 baggage drop desks open for
a thousand people and one lady examining tickets and passports going into airport security -
she appeared to be the internal Ryanair police checking weight on hang luggage. This is a
disaster of an airport. Huge queues with no urgency at all and to be avoided.

Departing from Treviso is a nightmare, especially if it involves a delay. Little information,
rude staff, hot and cramped departure gate area. Very little seating and the toilets were
unclean and insufficient for the number of passengers. Avoid this airport.

Arriving at Treviso Airport was fine. Luggage arrived quickly and passed through the airport
with ease. Departing from the same airport was altogether different. Baggage drop queues
exceeded 90 minutes due mainly to the fact that there were 2 sometimes 3 ladies checking in
everyone. The same ladies continually left their posts to search for passengers as they
appear to be without a PA system. No Air con, no queue management, no order! My colleague
expected to pay for his excess luggage as he had 4kg excess. he didnt get charged or even
queried whilst a guy beside me travelled with his large family who's cases fluctuated by .5
kilo over / under. He was subjected to unpacking / repacking several cases to get them dot on.
Ridiculous unhelpful and time wasting Security fluctauted greatly from passenger to
passenger with some walking through with hand luggage unscanned, whilst others where nearly
strip searched! Info screens show little or no information and announcements landisde are non
existent whilst they were ok airside. Airside had one duty free shop, one little kiosk type
shop and a bar all of which closed quite early. Once called to the boarding gate all hell
broke loose as there is literally no room to stand whilst queuing to board. We went down an
escalator to the gate, only to land on other passengers as there wasn't the room to get off
safely! The place was crammed packed full and very hot. Children screaming everywhere and
hundreds of frustrated travellers. A complete fiasco and one which I hope never to experience
again. I travel extensively and am used to small airports with few resources but none compare
to Venice Treviso for disorganisation and poor practice. Thank heavens for Marco Polo!

I have just returned from a 22 hour delay at Treviso Airport. The flight to Treviso and
arrival was absolutely fine but on arriving for the return flight the queues to check in were
over an hour long. There was hardly any information on the screens as to flights and once
through passport control we found out our flight was delayed indefinitely. Eventually, after
waiting for over 5 hours without any news (1.30am the next morning) we were told that our
flight was rescheduled for the morning. The toilets and general cleanliness of the building
were disgusting by this time. We went back through to find out information about where to
stay but there was only one member of staff their to help 150 passengers. Everyone was told
to sleep on the airport floor or find their own accommodation for the night. (This was very
difficult at now 2am in the morning.) We were told to return at 7am the next morning for the
rescheduled flight at 9am. Again everyone queued up for over an hour went through security
then we were told the flight would now be rescheduled to 5pm. Many people went back through
and complained but airport staff were rude and unhelpful, and would not help anyone to change
flights or find an alternative way back. We were given food vouchers by Ryan Air of the value
of 5 euros every 3 hours. However, there was only one cafe in the departure lounge. In this
cafe they refused to let you spend the voucher on any food you wanted - you had to have a
bottle of water and a specially made up panini. These were stale and very unpleasant. They
cafe had much better food but would not let any people with vouchers use them for this.
After three meals of paninis we complained and were eventually allowed a slice of pizza, but
still not allowed salad or fruit. The airport was very stuffy and hot, the toilets were
unclean and the staff were very rude. The flight eventually left but security was dreadful -
anyone could have boarded our flight and passports were not even checked. I would strongly
advise anyone traveling to this airport to cancel their flights and readjust their itinerary.
I understand that the cheap airlines travel here but it really is not worth it in the end.

Inbound fine, if weather is clear. Outbound - avoid like the plague. Departure areas are
cramped, ill ventilated and overcrowded. Not a pleasant to be, especially as the air
conditioning is inadequate. Information is sparse and not necessarily correct. Gate staff are
young, rude and unhelpful. Ryanair queuing system collapses easily.

The arrangements at this airport are atrocious. We had the misfortune to be two amongst hundreds of
passengers whose flights were cancelled late at night this week because of fog. Little support was
offered to those affected, many of whom were elderly, distressed and abandoned. We managed to fly
back to the UK from Milan two days later - to E Midlands (our car was at Liverpool!), having
incurred significant additional travel and accommodation costs.

Very poor airport. Inadequate buses, taxis, seating and refreshments. Cannot cope with flight
landings in anything other than good visibility and if your flight is cancelled you are in for a
hefty cost and long delays to make your own alternative travel plans. Play safe and use proper
airlines into a proper airport.

Don't be fooled by positive comments. The queue for bus tickets on arrival at Treviso went around
the arrivals hall and when I stopped watching after some 45 minutes, still had people nowhere near
the front who had been there when I arrived. Taxis are infrequent and expensive to take into Venice
- 90Euro. There are no systems for landing planes in very mild fog, which is not infrequent, and
then you have little chance of getting information on what to do. If you must go to Venice (and you
must, it's lovely) go to Marco Polo and pay the extra.

Small, ex-military airfield with hopelessly inadequate facilities for purchasing bus tickets on
arrival. Poor frequency of taxis, which cost 90Euro into Venice anyway. Seems that Treviso is
regularly impacted by fog too and Ryanair do not land there with even mild fog conditions. They
then offer no help or guidance on what to do when you are stranded. Be very wary of using this
airport or, more especially using Ryanair at all.

The airport is modern with a large check-in area. The bus transfer to Venice is straightforward.
Buy tickets at ground floor level to the right of arrivals. The restaurant is busy, hot and noisy
but good value, with freshly cooked pizza and pasta available. Security was somewhat slow (20 mins.)
and ignored an obvious queue jumper who appeared from nowhere, dived under the queue barrier then
presented himself ahead of others who had been waiting. This really should have been noticed as a
security concern, not just the queue jumping. The security screening seemed over-sensitive which
slowed things down. There are few facilities once through security, so it’s a bit of a gamble to
leave it as late as possible. Leave going down to the gate until the flight is in. The gate area
is inadequate, particularly given that passengers were allowed through when a delay was expected.
It would be impossible to imagine more than one of the four adjoining gates being used at a time, as
the waiting area was full with one. The seating is totally inadequate. Several elderly people on
the flight were struggling with the lack of seating. There are no toilets in this area, so going
back upstairs is the only option. This is not a place where you would want to be if there is a
delay.

The architect of this (new) airport spent a lot of attention to the roomy check in area and the area
after security, consisting of a vast lounge with a duty free shop and a small refreshment corner.
The boarding areas however are downstairs, extremely small and cramped and totally inadequate for
the number of passengers passing through. Totally incomprehensible why the building was designed in
this way.

New terminal in Treviso is lovely, impossible to compare with the old
one. Check in area is airy, bright, check in desks modern. Only problem
is there are no enough seats. One small restaurant and tiny shop very
adequate. Security quick and for Italian standards well organised.
Airside again, one small bar with limited food and couple of shops.
Enough seats, toilets modern and clean. Gate are is however very small
and only couple seats. No airbridges but considering it is FR airport,
didnt expect to have them. Very nice low cost airport. Pleasure using
it.

A nice mid size airport check in fast and friendly, security slow but
friendly and that helps. Main terminal with a good panorama of the
runway and Venice in the distance, good selection of food outlet and
shop, expensive. Alitalia business class lounge nice but small,
complimentary newspaper, still you have to paid for the internet but at
least the small self service bar is well stock. At the gate the
embarkation was smooth the only drawback very few jetways so the
majority of people are force to use the bus. Overall a very pleasant
experience.

Flew in and out of Treviso October 2005 and again in November 2006, but nothing seems to have
changed over that year, as far as expansion plans are concerned. The only difference was that our
flights last year coincided with several others, whereas this time ours was the only
arrival/departure for a couple of hours. The consequence was that Treviso this year was much more
congenial than last year - no congestion, no queues for anything, plenty of seating. We don't
normally buy food and drink at airports but on our return journey we were obliged to do so and were
pleasantly surprised at both the cost and the quality: we had poorer and dearer food while we were
in Venice. The ground crew also seem to do their best to apply Ryanair's stated boarding
procedures, which is more than seems to happen at Liverpool. It looks as if Treviso is fine when
it's handling only one flight at a time, but it's no fun when several flights coincide. Boarding
the Ryanair flightsbus service from Venice to the airport was something of a rugby scrum, though.

Treviso airport (new terminal still under construction) has no
facilities and with just one shop and one small take away bar it is very
basic. If Ryanair and Transavia flights depart at the same time you are
jampacked in a kind of shed. If there aren’t any delays or cancellations
and no coinciding flights it's bearable, but otherwise? To go to Venice
is relatively easy, there are direct buses and the railway station of
Treviso is only 10 min by bus (nr 6, in front of the entrance). Take
care however that the ride in the reverse direction takes much longer
(30 min) as the bus makes a circular tour. I went to Triest and that’s
2.5 hrs by train (Amsterdam has no direct connections to Triest, though
I heard later that travelling via Munich is convenient). Security
scanners apparently were tuned up. I even had to take my shoes off which
has never occurred me elsewhere.

27 January 2006
As of 19th Jan 2006 the new terminal is not finished and doesn't look as
if it will be open for some time. So you are still packed into the tiny
shabby poorly equipped old terminal. Not so bad if your flight is ok but
chaos if any cancellations - Ryanair cancelled 4 incl. ours when we were
there and we had to find our own way back to Liverpool. Same thing also
happened on 20th. They don't land there in fog and it's reasonably
common in winter.

The new terminal that is almost ready seams finally to be a very nice one. I was yesterday at
Treviso airport and i've seen how the layout of the new terminal is almost the same of the other
Venice airport Marco Polo.

In August I flew from Venice Treviso to Bucharest due to business reasons and I must admit that the
airport of Bucarest is 10 times better than the Venice Treviso one. There are no facilities, the
staff is rude. The province of Treviso is one of the richest of all Europe but this airport is
really a disaster. The only good things are the connections from the terminal to Venice. I saw at
the airport the project of the new terminal that is become a necessity for Venice
Treviso, especially with the increase of the traffic. Next time I'll surely fly from Venice Marco Polo.
