Good shopping for such a small airport. Clean and clear. Cheap car parking compared with Schiphol.
When arriving plane parked in front of terminal, and was outside the building with my checked bag in
5 minutes!

Rotterdam Airport is as stated before nice and small. I liked the
viewing platform, and while there is not much to see, it is a better
place to stay then after security. When you see your airplane arrive you
know you still have plenty of time to go through security and catch your
flight! Only thing what may be improved is the price of water, Euro 2,50
for a small bottle is just outrageous, especially since one now is not
allowed to bring a bottle from before the security check.

Rotterdam airport is small but very easy to get to as I live only 10min
away. People are very friendly and helpful. I travel on average 1x per
year, sometimes more, normally I only have hand luggage and have only
once encountered extra checks and body search. I find check in and
arrivals no problem and never had to wait very long. I do think it could
use a few more shops and especially as I fly early morning, it would be
nice to have some kind of breakfast that is not too expensive.

As I live in Rotterdam and have to fly frequently for business, I have
used Rotterdam airport many times. Just take a taxi from the city
center(+/- 20 euro), check in and go. Normally only little waiting time
at the check in and even that can be avoided by check in from internet.
Because of its size it is very time efficient. If you travel a lot and
often early that's what counts. So I try to avoid the bigger airports
like Schiphol and Heathrow, unless I feel the need for a long distance
walk through the endless gates there.

I have used Rotterdam Airport many times, although I had not have heard
of it before a friend suggested I fly there instead of Schiphol. If you
have a flight there and know that you will have to wait for your flight,
DON'T do it here. It is quite a small airport, but more than a couple
of hours or so will leave you with nothing more to see or do. There is
an outside balcony which overlooks the runways where you can watch
flights come in and go out, and get a good view of who is coming on or
off the planes. The restaurant upstairs is expensive, but it is an
airport. The vending machines are okay for foods recognised everywhere,
as well as Dutch food. Although it is a small airport, baggage seems to
take an awful long time. And there are only two X-ray machines/metal
detectors to my knowledge. A small duty free, and another expensive
smaller cafe (that sells British newspapers at a hefty price) bang smack
next to the gates, so no running when called.

Used the RTM for first time on JAN-12-06 when diverting a private flight
(general aviation) from PRG to AMS due to bad visibility. Could finally
land by the 100 feet clouds. The airport was nearly empty, one small
plane departed only. Used the general aviation / VIP lounge - clean,
warm and small, all you need by hand. The friendly ground staff and
policemen arranged our procedure within minutes and called us a cab for
the city (railway station - 10 mins, 17 Euro), which arrived swiftly.
Did not use common luggage facilities etc. so I may not judge on that,
but seems to be very relaxed airport in positive sense.

It was the first time I flew from the airport. It is a relatively small (7 gates)
airport, but equipped with all the essentials. I didn't have encounter any significant queues,
neither inbound nor outbound. Check in was efficient, security efficient and thorough, immigration speedy. The airside self-
service restaurant was clean, affordable and had a nice assortment. I am certainly considering Rotterdam
for future flights.

Known by locals as "Zestienhoven".
I know this small airport better than any other airport since I live nearby. I’ve welcomed and sent
off many friends there throughout the years and also used this pleasant airport for my own business
and leisure trips. The airport is cosy and orderly and the lounge for frequent flyers is simple but
complete with fresh coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks, cakes, liquors and snacks. The serve-yourself
formula is a great hit and trust me: we did take good care of ourselves!
The flat panels in the departure hall display the travel information satisfactorily and the check-in
counters make a good impression. Everything is fast and easy.
So, what can be improved? I can only think of one thing and that is that the staff could enhance the
cosy atmosphere by a adopting a bit more friendly attitude. Don’t try to compete with your
colleagues from bigger airports, but use your charm to attract passengers again!

RTM is just nice. I was there last year around June travelling from RTM to LHR with KLM. The service
was absolutely alright. As well the airport lounge. My friend and I had a good laugh about the small
but inviting lounge. The lounge was totally for only both us. It was my first experience using RTM.

I think Rotterdam airport is good because it is small. You can check in a few minutes
before your plane departes. The parking is cheap. If you are just arrived. You are outside the
airport in 10 minutes.

I was in Rotterdam Airport at the weekend. I think the airport is the biggest ripp off of an
airport. A bottle of coke is $2.40 in the vending machines. The duty free shop the prices are nearly
double the price of the price for the same goods in the shops. Also the
restaraunts and bar is
probably the most expensive I have ever experience in any airport. I was flying basiqair to Dublin.
Every flight departing the airport that day seemed to be delayed by traffic restrictions. We were
told that our flight was delayed due to restrictions entering the UK. But there was two other flights
one going to Palma and one to Oslo they were both delayed because of ATC. What I have seen it was
not ATC it was the ground handlers they only had enough staff to handle one flight at any one time.
Rotterdam is a joke. Noting to do in this airport went flights are delayed. Also the baggage hall was
a joke on arrival into rotterdam they only seemed to have one trailer to bring the luggage from the
aircraft. I will use this airport again because of Basiqair but I wont buy anything in this airport.
