Port Macquarie
Small airport that serves its purpose. It only gets flights from Sydney. The arrivals gate is
a gate (much like one would find around a pool to keep kids out) and the departures lounge is
comfortable and air conditioned, a new add-on as a result of changing security laws. All the
staff friendly and personable, possibly because they don't get many people through in a a day.
Whilst the number of people in the terminal was comfortable around my flight times, it
wouldn't go astray for the owners to speed up on expanding the airport facilities, as it was
getting a bit on the crowded side, as there is only one taxiway connecting the apron to the
runway. There's also a nice viewing area for all members of the public outside near the
arrivals gate where all planes can be seen arriving and departing.
