Clearly this airport is not at full capacity in November, but it was an excellent experience on arrival and
departure. Arriving was very easy with no queue for passport checks and less than 10 minutes for luggage
delivery. Departing was almost as good, a short wait to check-in but no real queue for security or passports.
The departure area is clean and airy with a good range of shops and cafes. Only real complaint is that we
were called to the departure gate at least 15 minutes earlier than necessary - and just stood in a queue
while nothing happened. Larnaca is much better than many airports I could mention.

I found Larnaca a very fine and functional airport. For our night flight, we had seven counters at our disposal
with no queue. Not a big airport but very clean and pleasant. A very good experience.

I remember the old Larnaca Airport well, tThe new Larnaca Airport is fantastic though. I arrived on BA from
LHR, and it took me 25 minutes to clear the terminal, from stepping off the aircraft to getting into my taxi.
No queues, excellent and clean, easy to get around. I departed on A3 for London Heathrow and baggage drop
opened late, meaning people were queuing for some time, other than that no problems in clearing security
and the airport has an abundance of shops and eateries. It is also incredibly clean with good toilet facilities
too. With plenty of boarding bridges it also means boarding aircraft is much easier. This is easily now one of
the best airports in Europe - clean and easy to get around.

Arrivals were great- from plane to leaving airport about 20 mins. Departures a little more problematic. Online
check-in not very well signposted and I had stood in a queue for 20 mins. Security was slow, I had arrived
just as 3 Russian flights were leaving- airport opened a separate line for EU passport holders which then let
the queue flow better. Clean terminal and excellent toilet facilities.

A very bright and airy new facility. Easy and efficient check-in, passport control, and
passenger search. Large glass enclosed, panoramic, and comfortable passenger waiting area,
affording unobstructed view of runway and other airport facilities. Plenty of shops, but fewer
refreshment and eating options. Friendly staff. Only blemish was that there are no public
phones which accept either a local phone card which is cheap to buy and easy to use, or a
credit card. The only available public phones (plenty of them) accept coins.

First time through the new terminal. We use off airport parking so can't comment on the
airport arrangements but there seemed to be plenty of well regulated space for drop-offs right
outside, given that it was a quiet day. Nice building: a bit like a small T5 at LHR with an
uncluttered and spacious arrivals hall. However, finding our airline check-in desk was a
challenge as a computer failure had cut off all the electronic displays at the desks and not
one staff member we approached knew where BA checked-in! We found them at the back, around the
corner and, once there, the procedure was fast, friendly and efficient. Passports and security
checks were just fine although they took longer and were more thorough than at the old
terminal; better be safe than sorry though. We then searched for a departures display to keep
an eye on the time and found just one, tucked around a corner by the loos. There may have been
more but at least this one was working. On to the shops and the cafes. Elegant but extremely
expensive, a growing trait in Cyprus regrettably and not all the fault of the exchange rate. I
don't think £4 is a fair price for a coffee, nor £6 for a roll and you could beat the prices
for most items in the duty free in local shops. Call forward and the bridge to the aircraft
were just fine and a marked improvement on the cattle market and bus at the old terminal.
Overall? A good start but how will it perform in the holiday season?

Arrived from LGW via easyJet on 30 Oct and flew home on 8 Nov, just missing using the new
terminal which looks very good from the outside! Despite the limited, dated facilities at the
old terminal I was processed reasonably well both inbound and outbound. Refreshment prices
were high but only reflect the corresponding price hikes all over Cyprus since my last visit a
couple of years ago. This is sad and I hope it does not affect visitor numbers to this
beautiful island.

If your travel plans involve you flying into and out of Larnaca airport, only fly Business.
The queues for Economy check-in are impossible and the place is like a middle Eastern market.
Check in Business and hot foot to the lounge. Service there is great. Four star rating for the
Business facilities. Looked like a one for everyone else though!

Larnaca is not the greatest airport of the world, but ever since a private company took over
the management things are getting better slowly. The food court is ok - but don't anything
beyond pizza, hamburgers and soda. Seating in the waiting lounge is rather limited and
uncomfortable. Baggage delivery at the carousels is a lottery : either you get it in a matter
of minutes or it take up to an hour. Looking forward to the new terminal opening soon !

I was in transit at Larnaca airport flying with Cyprus Airways. The transit desk took over an hour
to process all the passengers who were flying out, a weary time to stand in a queue even for a Brit.
As my onward flight was then delayed for 3 hours I had plenty of time to explore. The toilets were
clean, and so was the rest of the airport. However, it was early July and the place was infested
with mosquitoes. If you want to lie down for a bit I'd recommend the padded seats in Gate 8 rather
than the hard metal ones elsewhere.

Used LCA twice during October, both times arriving on scheduled flights and transiting when no charter
or holiday flights were arriving. Thus Arrivals (just a big shed) handled the numbers of passengers
well, although baggage took a long time to come through bearing in mind the fact that the aircraft was
parked just outside the terminal building. Departures again worked well, with efficient security, and
adequate seating and eating facilities once through security. Check-in staff somewhat lethargic, so
allow sufficient time to check in, rather than leaving it to the last minute. Generally the
facilities are clean and well-maintained and the staff polite.

Once you are through passport control to the departures area the airport is not too bad in terms of
facilities - easily better than American airports I have used. The place is clean with a reasonable
duty free shop and cafeteria. What really lets the place down is the staff who could not be more
disinterested and miserable if they tried.

Must depend who you fly with, we arrived on a Cyprus Airways flight from
Heathrow, landing just
after two charters from the UK. Time from landing to driving off in a hire car was 55
minutes. Going back, no queue at the Cyprus Airways check in. the downside was the dreadful wine
they serve in the bar.

Awful passport service - I spent 67 minutes in queue. No clear notices where to go, most departure
monitors are out of order. It's even worse than Sheremetyevo-2.
