Irkutsk Airport
review by David Oates
1 April 2008 Customer Rating :

This ugly block is straight out of Stalin's era although a new terminal is going up alongside. The
old one is tatty. Two gates, A & B. A few little shops, a bar and no smoking inside. VIP's are
called earlier than other travellers and in my case, to a different gate. Keep your eyes peeled. I
tried my Skyteam Platinum card on the VIP gate and it worked. The VIP lounge plumbs new depths.
Seedy styling and furniture with a peeling linoleum floor and no smoking there either. And you have
to pay for everything, even a coffee but the range of food and drink is quite reasonable. Still, we
did get our own minibus to the aircraft and we got on first. To be fair, the folks around the place
are friendly enough.
