Excellent airport, flying to Korea with Asiana, it took about 15 minutes from the time the plane touched the ground to the exit of the airport. Queuing at immigration took 2 minutes, and my luggage was on the carpet when I reached it. This my fastest arrival experience at a major international airport. When departing from Incheon however, realizing I had forgotten to return a key to my hosts as I was about to go through the hand luggage check. Since there is no post office nor mail box where I could send the key past the luggage check, I wanted to step back but was not allowed to do so even though my luggage had not yet been scanned. Going through, getting my boarding card stamped for exiting again and then walking back to the post office took a long time. Then, with 30 minutes left before boarding time it was impossible to get something korean to eat as all food places were too busy and asked for 45 minutes wait! So Incheon airport definitely needs a few more restaurants. It lacks any architectural style but for all the rest it is just perfect.

The best airport I have been in. It's clean, it is well laid-out, and facilities are fantastic. It is very user friendly. The showers upstairs are a real gift. We brought our own towels and showered for free. With Korean Air boarding passes, we paid $21 per person to get into the Hub Lounge - includes a buffet meal with drinks, alcohol, and dessert. Hub Lounge also offered free WI FI and internet computers, but these are also available for free throughout the airport. The rest rooms throughout the airport are constantly cleaned. The signs over the water fountains proclaim that the water is purified. The normal seats at the gate must be designed to allow for sleeping; they are comfortable without arm rests. I slept for an hour both times we were there. We considered using the Transit Hotel (near the Hub Lounge and showers) but decided against it based on our own needs. We had layovers of 4 and 6 hours, and the Transit Hotel was going to cost $125. If I had one of those 24 hour layovers, I probably would have taken the advice of others and taken a free shuttle to one of the off-site hotels.

We had about a 2-hour layover between flights, and ICN is perhaps the best airport in the world for making connections. The signage is easy to read, the staff are helpful with non- Korean speakers and the terminal layout makes it easy to move between gates. The terminal is immaculate and the shopping/dining options looked outstanding, although we didn't have time to explore.

The airport is perfect. The gate area is stunning, hardwood floors, comfy seats and huge windows. Their bathroom is excellent and the cleanest I've used in airport. A lot of shopping as well as food choices, western and Asian. Staff very friendly. The internet lounge was nice, free wi-fi and you don't have to bring your own computer since they have free laptops to use. I like the entire atmosphere of the airport, although we departed to JFK at 8PM, where a lot of flights are also departing, it didn't feel cramped at all.

We flew into Incheon from LAX, for a seven hour layover before our flight to Harbin. We've gone through airports around the world, and Incheon tops them all, and by a huge margin.

I live in Seoul and use this airport quite a lot. It is very good in most aspects. My two pet grips are the terrible train out to the satellite terminal and the taxi rank. The train is frustrating, especially when arriving after a long flight. It seems to add another 15 to 20 minutes on the whole experience. The taxi ranks for various destinations are very unclear and it is not organised by the airport, which is strange given the staffing level of the rest of the facility. You have to dodge all the touts and it is confusing to find the correct taxi for where you want to go.

Incheon is clean, well-signed and efficient. There were hardly any queues at immigration although the bag drop was a little slow. There are plenty of shopping outlets after security.

Wonderful transit airport. There are free shower facilities on the upper level of the departure terminal near Asiana and star alliance lounges. Showers wonderful and beautiful in private rooms. Towel rental is USD$2 each, and shower kit USD$6. They accept USD and KRW. There is also a rest area with chaise lounges next to the shower facilities, and children's play area, an internet station, and a TV room with comfortable chairs. There are also massage facilities there, and a transit lounge with internet access and buffet meal for a price. Very reasonable price as Asiana transit passengers get 40% off.

Very modern airport. The concourses are quite long but there are people-movers and even club cars to get passengers to where they need to go. The transit hotel, where passengers can get a room, shower, massage, internet/entertainment and something to eat seems like a good idea to me, though I didn't check it out personally. It did seem to me that ICN is more like a duty- free mall - lots of designer names and prices to match. There are also lots of places to eat and their prices are also high (I paid $2.00 for a can of soda pop). The terminal itself is very clean and bright, the waiting areas are large with big flat-screen TVs (usually with Korean programming) and the seating is comfortable. I found at least 2 internet kiosks, there are 3 money exchanges, and the employees are friendly and helpful. I didn't have to go through customs but I did have to go through security inspections, which were quick and painless. It seems like they plan it so that your arrival gate isn't too far from your next departure gate.

Spent quite a few hours in Incheon on transit to and from Manila from Heathrow. It is like a little city, everything you will ever need. It is spotless, on the way back landed at 04.40, most of the shops are shut, but slept well on the seats till 07.00 when things had woken up. the 8.5 hours waiting were not a problem. Staff very helpful, plenty of meal choices and a hotel if you need to have a room. This is without doubt the best airport in the world.

Incheon is probably the nicest airport I have ever traveled through. Its a really easy airport to navigate, and also very modern and clean. Most of the signs are in english/korean so it's not a problem at all. One of the things I found during my 4hr layover in Seoul was the showers travelers are allowed to use. You can purchase a towel to use for 2 dollars, and it makes you feel great to get a shower in for your next flight.

I connected through ICN on an Asiana flight between LAX and HKG. The terminal is well- designed, airy and spacious, with plenty of English signs and speakers. Connecting between gates is a breeze. The terminal is surgically clean and has an excellent selection of dining and shopping options appealing to Asian and Western travellers alike. There is plenty of space to sit and relax between flights. The customs/immigration staff do a good job of giving priority to connecting passengers and moving them along quickly.

I had been totally in awe of HK International Airport for many years for its total package then came Incheon. The signs are very clearly appointed in both English and Korean, the airport in itself is cleanly, smartly planned, even the Immigration officers are polite and friendly unlike most Immigration staff who are cold, intimidating and at times, arrogant. Seoul Incheon is really a top-notch airport. One thing I noticed though that on my stopover in Incheon to Seattle, I only saw one small kiosk selling books, newspapers and magazines...ALL in Korean. I tried to walk around the area but couldn't find a stand that sells these reading materials in English, I found it rather odd. The restaurant selection close to gates 40 and above are not that many and mostly, all are filled to the rafters, this is something that is not experienced in HK Intl. However, that aside, I believe Seoul Incheon deserve their star rating as they have really shown much care and attention in handling their passengers in the most comfortable manner. I just don't know how their duty free goods are priced as converting WON to US dollars or Chinese Yuan can be quite confusing, but that's another story.

A new airport that is very clean and stylish. Transport to the airport is good with a subway and buses both cheap and plentiful, but they all seem to finish around midnight. After that time the taxi drivers try to scam you if you are not Korean. Expect them to charge you double what you'd be charged on the meter. Lived in Seoul for a long period so when I used the airport to leave the country I tried to buy travel insurance at the airport, this was denied to me on the basis that I am not a Korean, despite having residency status at the time. I observed customs doing random checks, each time the person checked was a non Korean, seemed strange.

On the whole Incheon is a fantastic airport, the only aspect I didn't enjoy was the connection. Found my connecting flight and gate number on the screen and headed to the security to go back through, but my flight wasn't on the screen at the security point. So I head in anyway as there was no other information to be told "not here other, other". Through talking to other passengers in the same situation we managed to work our way on to the other security check and go through. Apart from that Incheon is a very good airport.

As someone who uses Incheon 6-8 times a year, it is a great airport! If you are staying in the city center, go to the City Air Terminal by CO-Ex Mall and pass through immigration there (if traveling by Korean Air or Asiana). Take the bus to the airport and go through the AirCrew and Diplomatic lines thus by-passing the sometimes backed up immigration lines. Saves time and sometimes headaches.

I live in Incheon so I may be a little biassed but I have to say that this airport is wonderful in many ways. The only two things that really need improvement are more eating and drinking options (there is only one small bar in the whole airport) and perhaps a dedicated immigration channel for registered foreign residents as they don't take nearly as long to process as all other foreign visitors.

I have never been in such a nice airport as Incheon, and combined with excellent flight connections on Asiana, I had a flawless trip this week inbound from Vietnam. I especially liked the 4th floor transit area where I found the excellent Hub Lounge and free Internet areas + very comfortable lounge chairs and spotless restroom facilities. There are even flowers planted up there - a real bonus to passengers tired from long haul flights, and just wanting a comfortable area in which to relax between flights. Asiana even has a coat check facility at Incheon for the winter months (useful for passengers connecting from cold climates/Korea to the tropics).

It's spotlessly clean, modern and spacious, and efficient. The only improvement necessary is additional immigration staff to handle foreign passports on arrival. Inbound Korean passport holders now have an electronic passport recognition lane and this appears to be very quick. For my flight departing to Australia from the new concourse A, curiously enough there was yet another carry-on baggage check immediately before boarding the aircraft, but this checkpoint was fully staffed and caused a delay of only a few minutes. Another good find at Airport City, just 10 mins from Incheon terminal via their free mini-bus shuttle, is Hotel Sky that provides overnight accommodation at a most reasonable price. The standby rate is 50,000won (less than US$40) but only when booked by staff at the Korean Tourist Office stand which is very hard to find, tucked away in the terminal building near exit F and to the right of the donut stand. Otherwise, exactly the same room booked at any of the hotel information stands is 85,000won. It's clean and quiet and lacks additional facilities apart from a free internet lounge, but convenience shops and small restaurants are immediately adjacent.

The nicest airport I've been to. If I must get stranded in one Incheon would be my first choice for sure! It's clean and open and just a nice atmosphere overall.
