"2.5 hour wait for passport control"

Trip Verified |   In my 40 years of traveling I've never experienced a 2.5 hour wait for passport control. We arrived at 8:30 am and didn't get through until 11 am. The frustrating thing was the chaotic handling of lines. One line (of hundreds of people) had one machine in use (later they added another). The barriers between lines were removed and added in a random pattern. Our unlucky line barely moved yet people who arrived an hour after us went to the front somehow. We met people who landed 2 hours after we did and got out before us. People with originally generous connections were anxious about missing their connection. A simple transfer line seems like a logical solution. Then we couldn't find our baggage carousel because our flight had landed so long ago. Three employees couldn't help us and finally one very apathetic employee told a group of us where to go. Carousel 31 was unattended with dozens of bags sitting on the floor. Nothing about this airport is efficient, user-friendly or streamlined.

“tax refund desk were unbelievably rude”

Not Verified | The worst experience I’ve had at a major airport in a long time. The staff at the tax refund desk were unbelievably rude and nasty. They seemed to actually enjoy that I did it wrong (due to very unclear instructions). Impossible to find the check in desk for WestJet, asked multiple staff members and each gave us a different answer. Ridiculous lines for security and passport control. Unclear signage, no one knew where to go. I have no idea how they plan on handling the number of visitors they’re going to get during the Olympics. This airport is an unorganized disaster!

"worst airport I’ve ever been to"

Trip Verified | This airport is by far the worst airport I’ve ever been to. We had a 1.5 hr layover scheduled by Air France. It took approx 3 hrs to get through security. I spoke with the workers putting us in line as well as others on our flight. They ignored us, people were rude. We missed the flight. Very rude and disorganized. I would avoid this airport at all costs.

“airport is disorderly”

Trip Verified | This is the worst experience at an airport I have ever had in all my years of travelling. The airport is disorderly, unclear signs and in general hectic. The staff are rude and shout orders to passengers in only French without consideration. Transfer flights are a nightmare to get on time and the security staff are inconsiderate to this and make sure to give you a hard time checking everything in detail. If you arrive at this airport expect to miss your connecting flight without help or consideration. I hate this airport and hope to never return. Avoid this airport at all costs.

"Constant, omnipresent maintenance"

Trip Verified |  Constant, omnipresent maintenance and other kind of works, with elevators and mechanical stairs off working, endless walks, poor information at T1 to get to Cgdval train). Poor services and shops and restaurant offering, chaotic handling of passenger flows at arrivals. False taxi drivers offering services and no decent lounges apart from the Air France lounge at 2f.

“Take ownership and have some pride”

Trip Verified | Chaos! Lack of care! Shambles! Ridiculous! Being over 3 hours early for our flight to Ireland with Aer Lingus would seem more than enough time for any flight anywhere in the world but not from CDG! No I suggest you turn up 5-6 hours before do you can sort yourself out as the French staff at this airport - 1) Don’t care 2) Are not trained 3) Are a contractor for immigration 4) No one seems to do any work 5) Not enough staff 6) They don’t believe in proper queue set up (ask the Germans or Japanese they know how to run busy airports) and just let people shove and push! 7) They only call certain flights as urgent ie Emirates or Qatar as no one else matters! 8) Did I say they don’t care?! They somehow believe they can run upcoming Olympics - good luck all going. CDG you are clearly running on shoe strings and sub contracting major components of Airport operations is your downfall. Take ownership and have some pride! We ended up having to buy new tickets to Ireland due to your incompetence! We and 30 others missed our flight to Ireland and you could care less. Our plane was there gate bridge still attached but 3 party contractors would not let us on. Said they would have to remove 30 plus peoples baggage which took over 30 minutes as letting us on would have been about 10 minutes. The flight itself left over 40 mins late! Your immigration queuing set up is major part of that to blame! Will not use CDG ever again and will tell all I know the same. Should be ashamed of your lack of service and care. Use Lyon or fly to some other European hub if you want to visit Paris.

"took forever to get off the plane"

Not Verified | CDG Airport is a mess. We arrived there late only to be herded onto a bus, no airline staff checking for mobility issues. Elderly passengers being helped down stairs to a bus by other passengers. It took forever to get off the plane. Who uses stairs and a bus to transport passengers in 2024? Once in, it is a mess to clear security. The staff are rude and do not respond, even when I spoke French. The carousels had 4 different flights worth of baggage which was madness.

"a large queue in security"

Trip Verified | I was flying via Paris to my final destination but I missed my connection flight there due to a large queue in security and just two lines open despite many people being worried about time. Terminal 2E security person in charge was unhelpful and very rude, shouting at people and not speaking in English back. On top of everything there are scam taxi drivers in the doors of the airport offering taxi services and charging ridiculous prices for them. The airport should do something about this!

“Diabolical queue at security”

Not Verified | Diabolical queue at security to 2G and only 2 open! Have spent 30 mins already and reckon about another 1.5 hours. In danger of missing the flight in spite of transfer allowing 2 hours. Give Paris a miss!
