The new terminal is much bigger and better than the old one. There are 8 gates now and a massive departure
area where you can easily find a place to sit and wait for your flight. Check in is quite fast. Ground crew is
friendly and doing their job well. The only thing is that some ground crew members are better to improve
their English a little bit. PA announcements is a rare thing in the new terminal and it is very hard to
understand them. But I think the management is still working on improvement and soon BJV airport becomes
one of the best airports in Turkey. Keep working!

We have flown into Bodrum airport many times arriving and departing from the old smaller terminal which
was always very busy with no where sit if many flights were departing or if you were delayed. We have just
visited Turkey again and flew into Bodrum and used the brand new terminal. What a difference! It is more
than double the size of the older building, built over three levels with all the "mod cons" including airbridges
so gone are the days with having to use aircraft stairs and buses to reach the terminal building and the
aircraft on your return. It is very clean and well laid out with plenty of seats. Yes it is still very expensive to
buy drinks and food but what airport is not! The duty free shop is massive. A job well done and it was a
pleasure to use! Roll on next time!

Food and drink prices are outrageous. If one flight is delayed (peak season) there is no seating space at all once
you are airside, the lucky ones get a wall to lean against whilst sitting on the floor. Easyjet is a shambles when
your flight is announced, consequently families are split up on board the plane. Speedy boarding offers some
solution but many people sneak through or come up with ridiculous excuses. Toilets need to be more up to date in
arrivals and departure lounge.

It was like a football crowd trying to get in one small door. You go straight through security before entering the
airport, then check-in and through security again. My problem was check-in, the desk for Gatwick was taking 10
mins plus to process each couple/family. Some sort of proper queue is needed. No seats, people laid all over the
floor, this is for very late flights so people are tired.

Nice little airport if only one flight is in, we arrived in departures 3 hrs before take off to find our Thomson flight had
only one check-in open. This led to a queue which snaked around the airport interfering with other customers.
Eventually 2 other desks were opened but no staff manned them for 20 mins, this caused numerous fall outs
among customers.

Been to Bodrum a couple of times in recent years. First time around we were gobsmacked at the
prices - once bitten, twice shy. I believe travel companies, reps and even the airlines could
do more to warn unsuspecting tourists about the high prices.

Having just returned from our third trip to Turkey, and third time using Bodrum airport we
weren't too surprised by the prices (although our first time in the airport left us totally
gobsmacked by the prices charged for food and drink). Unfortunately we were not aware that you
could no longer take liquids through to departures with you and had to dispose of our water at
the security desk. What did shock us was the fact that the staff at the desks where checking
the bottles, if opened they where disposing of them, if the bottles where sealed and appeared
full they where putting them into large plastic crates, obviously for there own consumption.
Duty free prices where same as UK, more expensive than many high street stores, and toilet
facilities passable considering the number of passengers using them. As stated in other
reviews, if the cafes lowered there prices on food and drink, they would actually sell more.
Its quite sad that your holiday ends on such a low note.

Bodrum is the most horrible airport I have ever been to. When we departed, the airport was
very crowded and no seating available (don't even think of airport lounges). The prices in the
cafe are the highest I ever encountered at an airport - 5 Euros for a soft drink and 7 Euros
for a snack. Toilets were ok if you consider the vast number of people present. I would avoid
this airport if there was a real alternative.

Went through Bodrum yesterday and all previous comments borne out. It is the only airport I
know where duty free prices, airside are double the tax paid ones. Can of coke on the check
in side TL5, once through to airside TL10. Also ladies loo was described by my daughter as
one of the worst she's ever been in. A national disgrace in an otherwise charming country.

I have been using Milas/Borum ever since it opened as an International Airport, circa 1998,
two or three times a year and as with most airports would expect it to improve with time. No
such luck, everything appears to be aimed at totally ripping off the customers. Cafe Sera
prices are an insult to all travellers. Maybe its time for another franchisee to be given the
opportunity to supply a better and more reasonably priced service.

Just got back today, they're still robbing with impunity. £14 for two beers and £5 for one
litre of water. Of course, they know you can't take liquids through now. Onur Air aren't much
better either.

Just flew out from Bodrum Airport. The prices in the cafe are an absolute disgrace. Drinks
at Bodrum airport were three times the price of those on the plane. 3 Euro for a small water,
no other drinking water available. Turkey is a fantastic country it is such a shame to leave
on a negative feeling. The Airport is ok but it has to be given a one star just because of
the cafe, a real shame.

Bodrum Airport prices an absolute disgrace. Yes still 5E for a can of coke which was handed
straight back. They had taken my water off me at security so though thirsty was more
determined not to give in to their daylight robbery.

Through Bodrum in September 09 (using the international terminal for first flight departure of
day for domestic service to Istanbul. Check your airlines departure point - may not be from
the separate domestic terminal which is a taxi ride away from the international hall). Good
and clean facility, security to enter the airport checks bags and persons through detector
gate. Toilets clean and well signed. Gates clearly marked for departures. An outdoor cafe
offers croissants, pastries, sandwiches, coffee and teas - with a table service - but as with
all the other comments - watch the prices - 2 coffees, 2 crossants costs 22YTL - and from the
cafe inside at departure, 24 YTL for 2 glasses of fresh orange juice. Upstairs, a further cafe
offers meals, but closed at time of day at he airport and can't presume the prices were
better. One small shop with a few sweets and gifts - but no stamps sold here so don't plan to
post any last minute mail. Limited seating in departure hall - 10 seats in total - (plus
others for the cafe) before going through passport control. Prompt and efficient check-in
procedures handling a fairly full flight. Good signs for departures, and quick passport
checks. Ample seating at gates. No air bridge to planes though, so expect to get wet in poor
weather. Apart from food prices - a good and efficient place. Just turn up and travel if you
can, rather than hang around and wait.

Difficult to add anything new to the comments listed. Both the prices charged for food and the
state of the loos should be considered a national disgrace.

As reported by previous passengers the prices in this airport are very high and very poor
value for money, payable in euros, turkish lira or pound sterling. Dull duty free shopping,
where is there any exciting duty free? I think that disabled passengers could not access the
first floor cafe so are restricted to the ground floor area with unappealing furniture and
probably the same high prices. The public areas were clean male toilets ok. Buses to planes.

Can only echo all the comments of the ridiculous costs of tea / coffee / refreshments. I would
strongly suggest not buying from the cafe in the upstairs departure lounge which is probably
the biggest rip-off in 30 years of air travel. To make things worse, we were delayed 3 hrs
returning to Gatwick - eventually leaving at 0600 from our check in at 0100 - and I still
wouldn't buy a tea for £4.

A little crowded and long waits when many flights leave about the same time - but that is to be
expected. The biggest problem is the cost of refreshments in the Cafe Sera. There is no
justification for an instant coffee - not much bigger than two espressos - costing 5euro (£4) or a
small plate of fries at the same price - captive client base with one airline (Onur Air) operating a
no meals on board service! The airport rating goes down significantly because of this.

Facilities are basic. Toilets disgusting. Staff work hard and are efficient in moving people as
quickly as possible. Security not as high as UK airports but there are more smiles and a good deal
of patience. As stated in every entry above the prices at the rather shabby cafe are stupidly high.
Best advice is ask the cost before you buy then don't buy. I doubt the owner of this concession ever
reads these reviews or would even care if they did but I will never buy another item from this
place.

Just returned from a holiday in Turkey via Bodrum Airport. Whilst the public facilities at this
airport are adequate and clean, the catering is a total rip-off. Soft drinks retail at £4 a can (70p
at Bristol Airport) and a very basic meal comprising hamburger, chips and soft drink will set you
back £10 a head! Best to take your own sandwiches and drinks. The Duty Free isn't particularly good
value either. Don't forget that you have to pay £10 a head for a 30 day visa on entry to Turkey. So,
have cash to hand.

I was quite impressed arriving at BOD in the new Hall A. It made a change to arrive at an airport
which is an airport and not a shopping mall. If you are leaving from BOD Hall A, you would be
advised to eat and drink before going airside, as facilities there are very limited. Also if two
international flights are leaving at roughly the same time, there can be a long queue to get through
passport control, and even if you have a Club Class ticket, you cannot jump the queue. The Salon des
Vignobles is not worth the additional money (if you are not in Club Class etc) as the selection of
refreshments and snacks is very poor.

The airport has plenty of seating which is just as well because many of the charter companies using
it appear to have poor timekeeping. However, the food and drink on sale is a total rip off - €5 for
a can of coke, you must be joking! I travel a great deal worldwide and this airport must be about
the most expensive. Do they not understand that if they lowered the prices they might sell a lot
more? On the plus side they do not seem to stop you taking your own food and drink through which is
what I noticed all the regulars doing.

One piece of advice: buy bottles of water and snacks in supermarkets before you leave - the airport
prices are ridiculous. Over £5 for a small cup of coke and £4.30 for a bottle of water! Don't even
get me started on the price of burgers and fries! If you're flight is delayed - good luck!

This airport is very basic. Add to that the absolute rip-off prices it seems the Turks want to
wring every single pound out of you before you leave. Prices are not cheap in the tourist resorts
but I was shocked at snacks and beverages being over eight times more expensive in the airport than
outside. That's blatant profiteering and the one small stain on a wonderful Turkish holiday. The fun
starts the minute you step out of the airport and not before!

Everything previously said is true - no help at security, check in or passport control. In fact it
appeared that you could take any food and drink through into the departure lounge. The duty free
staff appear to try and sell anything to anyone including vodka to my 10 year old daughter and it
was hardly duty free prices. The cafe is a rip off three portions of "chips", a ham sandwich and
four drinks was 83 lire (everything is priced in euros but they will work out the price in any
currency) and I have now seen the dirtiest place in Turkey - the toilets in the airport. Although
staff did put on some entertainment by driving a remote control car around the departure lounge!!
