Passing through Aldergrove late morning was a doddle. The new security area is bright and
clean and there was hardly anyone else in the queue at all. I was through fairly quickly and
discovered the old Burger King and Food Court area, once a landside area, has been
incorporated into the airside area so there is a much better selection of eating places to
choose from whilst waiting. It looks as if the money being spent on the airport will be worth
it in the end. I departed from Gate 16 and it is worth noting there are no toilets down at
this level. The closest are beside the Business Class lounge before going down the steps
towards Gate 16.

Security staff are rude, customer services are non-existent, and a shock for the modern
airport. Unless I am really pressed, I prefer to avoid Belfast International Airport, and use
Belfast City or Dublin.

Poor signage throughout. The new security area was slow to get through (half an hour last
Friday), staff scrambling to retrieve the trays, why no automatic rollers? is this a
temporary arrangement? poor system for the queue after the end of the roped of area queue,
people all over the place! with one poor man trying to keep order! Then the security staff
were not particularly pleasant at all. Poor layout/design all round. Have flown in and out of
Bristol for many years and it all goes so much more smoothly there!

Not a bad airport, facilities are ok, it's clean and easy to get around. My one gripe is the
quality of food vendors with prices over and above what you'd pay at even Heathrow! Security
was easy enough to get through and staff pleasant enough.

Have used this airport twice in recent weeks and was impressed by the new security area which
now the space formerly taken by the WH Smith landside store. A staff member managed the
security queue effectively and it did not take long to negotiate. My long standing gripe with
Belfast Intl is that the baggage reclaim area in arrivals is open to all and sundry. I've
always though that it would be very easy for a bag to be removed from the carousel by a non-
passenger. At every other airport I've used, the reclaim area can only be accessed by
arriving passengers.

The staff are all very helpful and very professional and what's more there are frequent bus
connections just outside the airport terminal, which is of great relief to all without cars.
The airport will be able to rival some of the world's finest when then new improvements are
implemented i.e. when the new terminal and multi-storey car park are completed, sometime by
2015, I'm not certain when exactly - but it will be a must see for those who wish to
experience a good time.

Staff are friendly, and the airport is quite easy to get around from check-in to the boarding
gate. BFS needs to have more air bridges - only have one at gate 22 which continental use
every day for their service to Newark. Security staff can be a bit rude at times.

The only gripe I have about this Airport is the security. The long queues, the unfriendly
security staff. The long wait if your bags have to be checked. On one occasion there was a
chap in front of me who had flown in for a connecting flight to Europe - when he went through
security they said that the plastic bag that he used for the liquids was too big. He said that
he always used this one at every airport. So they took out a ruler and measured it - it was 5
mm over and they told him he would have to buy one from the machine conveniently placed after
the security for £1.

I found the airport user-friendly in all senses. All the employees are helpful and welcoming, the
facilities are good, and even when my flight out was over 2 hours delayed, I found it pleasant
enough not to mind the delay and it was also uncrowded.

This used to be a great airport. All the soft chairs have been removed from the departure area and
replaced with the hard plastic things. In addition, the seating area is squeezed into the centre of
the waiting area, leaving plenty of room for the poorly-used shops and overpriced catering areas.
Cafe Rankin, in particular, is inferior to the average high street Pret A Manger. BFS needs to
raise its act.

Travelled through Belfast Intl several times last year and found staff and security particularly
unfriendly, Belfast City is a much nicer airport (and much cheaper to get to by bus from Belfast -
GBP1.40 as opposed to GBP6.00)

STN to BFS and BFS to Berlin, both on Easyjet, July 2007. Also used the airport a number of years
ago. BFS is easy to use, staff are friendly, and getting there from various places in N. Ireland and
the Rep. of Ireland is fairly fast and easy. In a very uncongested area, with quick access to fast,
good roads in multiple directions. Car rentals and parking are a short walk from the terminal (no
shuttle bus needed), again, making for fast car/plane connections. Arrivals shops/eating and
departures shops/eating are totally segregated, so if you're not familiar with the airport, it takes
some exploration to figure out how to get from one to the other. So if you want to look for more
options, find the elevator and go to the other floor, which at first you don't realize exists.
Finally, while hardly a big deal, signs for driving around the airport and getting to the motorway
from the airport are sometimes mildly confusing, as your destination road can disappear from signs or
be visible only to people entering a roundabout from a different direction. Getting to the airport,
on the other hand, is very well signposted.

First time I used Belfast's first airport in many years, and such huge improvements. Ample
facilities, including the ubiquitous Starbucks, and a Paul Rankin Wine Bar. This airport has
benefited from the boom in low cost travel, and is served by bmi baby, Wizz Air, EasyJet and Jet2,
the latter three opening up routes to many European cities. There is also a daily flight to Nww
York EWR on Continental, as well as direct services to Canada on Zoom. A lot of domestic flights
depart from the former British Airways lounge. It is a bit more spartan these days, but there is
ample seating as well as a shop and snack/drinks bar. Much improved

BFS has very nice facilities such as amusement shops, book stores, restaurants and gift shops. It is
currently having a lot of low-cost airlines operating in and out between BFS and many European
destinations. The only setback is that major European airlines such as KLM, BA, LH and AF do not fly
into BFS, which make connections to other worldwide destinations very inconvenient, especially Asia.
With CO is starting its flight between NY and BFS, it is hope that more airlines will commence their
scheduled flights into BFS one day.

Unquestionably the best airport I have used as regards friendliness, hospitality and service; in
true Irish fashion it is all there. Great car parking and check-in facilities and everything is
pretty smooth running but I lament the moving of British Midland and British Airways to the City
Airport as their services were superb and the airport is easily accessible from the M1 Motorway and
is far removed from rush hour city traffic and is much more centralized for the province. A truly
great airport.

Belfast Intl is 20 miles outside the city but it is quick and easy to get to. The roads are good and
the twice hourly bus service to Belfast is adequate.
The terminal is relatively compact. The number of shops/eateries has growm dramatically over the
last year. It looks a bit dated from the outside but inside it's quite spacious, light and clean.
The baggage is always quick to come through and the car parking is among the cheapest in the UK.
Pity there aren't more international flights. I'm sure people would choose it over Dublin every time
if they had the choice.
