The Crowne Plaza is a short bus ride from LHR: the shuttle costs £4 each way and takes around 10 minutes. The hotel is quite large, but the staff are very friendly. My one gripe is that arriving after 11.0pm, only room service food was available. That said, the soup & sandwich I had were truly excellent. Unlike other Crowne Plaza Club lounges, this one closes at 11.pm; some are accessible 24 hours for coffee, soft drinks. The Continental Breakfast was very good, the only gripe being that staff bring tea & coffee: the machines are behind the scenes. There is complimentary internet access with printer which is a very welcome facility. Club rooms are very large and well appointed. There is a large desk for those who wish to work, and a supremely comfortable bed for those who (as did I) wish to enjoy a good rest. The swimming pool/sauna/steam room are open early to late and are very pleasant indeed. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my (all too short) stay at the Crowne Plaza LHR.

Probably my favourite airport hotel globally, having stayed at this hotel many times over the past 4 years. The staff are always efficient and polite and the rooms have a special style and comfort that I find appealing. One feature I particularly enjoy is the breakfast where staff are always welcoming and the food and service is superb.

As a frequent business traveller I have found a good breakfast to be an important yardstick by which to measure a good hotel!. Access is interesting, as is common with many other Airport Hilton's I have stayed in, with a walkway access to and from (in this case) Terminal 4 at Heathrow. However, one only has to catch the Heathrow Express (free) from other terminals to get to T4 and then it is an easy walk into the Heathrow Hilton. This hotel is superb.
